Well! How about that election? I am just now beginning to take bland food and some exposure to sunlight. You won this round, Dubya. But - oh forget it.
Christmastime is nearly upon us, and if you haven't received a card from me, there's good reason. I didn't send any. I thought about doing it, but typically, thought never translated into action and now it's probably too late. If you're reading this, don't take the slight personally. I will be thinking of you in my annual good-will-towards-men-fest, on the sofa after Christmas dinner, with my pants undone. Hey, where is it written that goodwill must be pursued classily?
January will find me back at Shenandoah Shakespeare (www.shenandoahshakespeare.com) doing a mini season of three shows. And then back to new york! No more of this dilly dallying in a beautiful theatre with professional artists and clean bathrooms and a subscriber base! I like it down in the trenches: no pay, roaches in the dressing room and the homeless for audience members.*
