What time is it? Who are you people?!?!?

I know I have been woefully neglectful with the updates lately. What can I say? I have a life, unlike you people who keep nagging incessantly at me to come up with some entertainment for you. Read a book or something, why don't you?

I'm sorry. That was the exhaustion talking. Paul and I opened "Greater Tuna" on the 13th and started rehearsing the new actor's renaissance season on the 17th. As you may recall (or already know) the Renaissance Season is an experiment to recreate Shakespeare's original rehearsal and production conditions. What that means, essentially, is that no one is in charge. At all. No directors, no designers, nada. I have been charged with kind of being the timekeeper, which means every now and then I glance down at my watch and give out really helpful tidbits like, "We have ten minutes left for this scene!" or "We've gone thirty minutes over schedule on this!" It's fun. And the job came with a gavel.

Long story short, I just haven't had much time or energy to really do much writing. Also I was having a very severe argument with the website for a while, because I was just getting absolutely buried in spam. It was like 100 to 200 messages a day. Apparently the internet world is under the strong impression that I have a small penis, erectile dysfunction, a weight problem and a substandard resume because the whole world wide web is offering to help me with these problems. And the offers are getting pretty insistent. So I had to disable the comments on the site for a while, I apologize for that. I love hearing the little responses to what I write, but my ego just can't take the whole world being reminded constantly about my erectile dysfunction. I thank you in advance for understanding.

Some of you may have heard tell of the "Body for Life" challenge that I'm doing with my parents, Babs and Chaz. It's a 12 week fitness challenge that is basically very simple, but does involve a very serious commitment to going to the gym 6 days a week. I'm in week three and I'm doing pretty well. The first week I was so sore I couldn't even bend my knees to sit down without screeching in pain, but that went away before too long. Now it's just a matter of finding the time and motivation to get there, because the schedule we're on right now is pretty grueling. I would, however, encourage those of you who have access to Babs and Chaz to point out to them that I am managing to get to the gym six times a week in spite of rehearsing a show 6 days a week and performing in a high-energy costume-a-thon ("Greater Tuna") 5 times a week, and to ask them how their workouts are going and if they feel confident about winning our three hundred dollar wager at the end of the 12 weeks. Based on the 12 ounce prime rib and pecan pie with a side of vanilla ice cream I saw Charlie eat at lunch last sunday, I have to say I think I've got this thing all sewn up.

Well, rehearsal isn't going to start itself, kids, so I gotta get gone. I'm hoping to make some keen updates to the site in the next month or so, including show photos and stuff like that, so stay tuned. In the meantime, you're beautiful. Don't go changing.
